Palliative Care

Palliative Care

In a recent report from the Irish Hospice Foundation 74% of people surveyed said they wanted to pass away at home. Comfort Home Care aims to assist people to remain in their own home, surrounded by their loved ones. Professional carers can assist the hospice care team to provide the best possible end-of-life care in the home. We ensure that the client and their family are supported by providing personal care, housekeeping, companionship, overnight care and emotional support. Our care is delivered with tenderness and compassion.

Personal Care

Personal care is delivered with tenderness to the client in accordance with their wishes. Our carers work in conjunction with the hospice homecare team to deliver the best possible care.  Some people requiring palliative care may be bedridden and so comfort is of the utmost importance. Carers will be trained to reposition you in your bed to alleviate any areas of discomfort.

Companionship

Comfort Home Care can provide carers to sit with clients overnight or during the day. This allows the family some respite during the life-limiting illness. We can be there for as many hours as you wish. We provide 24/7 cover for your peace of mind. The presence of a carer also allows family members to take a backseat or a break, which can be a huge benefit for them.

House Keeping

Housekeeping and cleaning services are available if needed. Our carers will check that food is available, shopping lists are updated, assist with meal preparation and provide assistance with eating.
